Return Policy
Email Barkley Paws Pet Boutique immediately (within 48 hours of receipt of the delivery) if your merchandise is defective. Be sure to write "RETURN" in the subject line and we’ll work with you to resolve the problem with a happy ending. Please tell us what is wrong with the product and give us as much detail as possible. We promise to work closely with you to make sure the issue is resolved and that everyone is satisfied.
After we receive your email you'll be sent a return authorization number (RA#) with return instructions. No packages will be accepted without a Return Authorization Number written clearly on the package. Products being returned must have a RA# issued before returned.
Returns on merchandise other than a Barkley Paws error, will be assessed a restocking fee of $5.00 per item or 15% - whichever is greater.
We want you to be completely satisfied with every item you purchase from Barkley Paws. Therefore, if you are not happy with your purchase, return it to us in it's original unused condition for a credit or exchange within 10 days from the ship date. Shipping and handling is non-refundable. Please ensure that you are familiar with our Return Policy and Return Exceptions (detailed below) before sending any item back to us. You must pay all costs related to return shipping as we do not accept any returns via COD.
Returns and exchanges are simple and hassle-free. Store Credit is valid for one (1) year from the date of issue.
Please note the following requirements must be met in order for us to process your return/exchange:
- Item(s) must be in new, unused condition (completely free from dog hair and/or any damage) and include all original packaging (instructions, tags, etc.)
- Return shipping is at the purchaser's expense
- For your protection, we suggest that you purchase insurance and delivery confirmation for your return/exchange, as we are not responsible for lost or stolen packages
Return Exceptions
· Used merchandise is nonreturnable.
· Please make sure you read the dimensions and weight limitations for each Pet Carrier and Dog Bed. Due to strict health regulations, we cannot accept PET CARRIERS or DOG BEDS for return or exchange.
Exchanges
We realize that dogs come in many different sizes and shapes. For this reason, we strongly suggest you measure your dog carefully prior to selecting a size. If you need to exchange a clothing item, a shipping fee will be charged to resend the new size out to you. If the exchange is a result of an error on our part there will be no fee to resend the item.
Dog clothing items are allowed a one time size exchange only per item. We apologize, but we do not issue returns or store credit for these items. Every exchange thereafter will be charged a $15 fee. All exchanges are subject to shipping charges incurred to ship out the new item.
We reserve the right to determine whether or not an item returned is in its unused original condition.
**Please do NOT ship dog collars to us buckled up as it stretches out the holes and the collar will be considered used and nonreturnable.**
Return Processing
We'll notify you via e-mail once we've received and processed the returned item. Please allow a minimum of 7-10 business days to process a return, once received. Store Credit and/or exchanges will be provided once the original purchased item has been received by us in its original condition.
Any packages returned back to Barkley Paws as undeliverable, and it is not due to an error on the part of Barkley Paws, the customer is solely responsible for charges to re-ship the item to the customer.
At Barkley Paws, we strive to provide great customer service. We wish we could accept all exchanges and returns without any questions or limitations, but that is just not possible. Thank you for honoring these exchange and return policies, so that we can continue to provide you a large selection of quality products.
Back Orders
Because of the nature of our business, an item purchased may be on backorder from the designer and it is possible that we might not be notified of the backorder immediately upon your purchase. As soon as we are notified that an item purchased is on backorder, you will be notified via e-mail of an approximate shipping date and will be given the option to wait or cancel your order. If you decide to cancel your order, a refund for the full purchase price plus any applicable shipping charges will be processed immediately.
Image Color Disclaimer
Barkley Paws has tried to the best of its ability to accurately display the colors of all products on its pages. The actual colors you see will depend on your monitor and may not be accurate.
Accepted Methods of Payment. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. Orders shipped to US addresses only at this time.
Shipping Time. The time needed to ship merchandise will vary depending on the shipment's location and the particular time of year. Customers in the US should expect a 7-10 day delivery time though most shipping times are much faster.
Shipping Methods. Merchandise will be shipped using Ground Service where possible with either UPS or USPS depending on the best rate. When shipping by UPS it will be sent by Ground and will conform to their regulations. We reserve the right: however, to ship orders via alternate sources in the event of a disruption to normal ground shipping options. In addition, some items may be shipped directly from the manufacturer to customers.
Defective or Damaged Shipments. Damaged shipments from handling must be claimed with the freight carrier. If any cartons are missing or damaged, be sure to note this on the freight bill. If you notice concealed damage after the driver has left, keep all the packing and call the freight carrier to return and inspect the damage and file a claim. We are not responsible for damage caused by the freight carrier.
If an item is defective you must contact us within 24 hours of receiving the purchased item. We reserve the right to determine whether or not an item is defective. We are NOT responsible for issuing refunds on merchandise due to wear from your pet. We reserve the right to determine whether or not an item returned is due to wear from a pet.
All returned items must be sent back via insured methods such as UPS, Airborne Express, FedEx or USPS Insured.
Manufacturers Defects. If a product appears to have a manufacture’s defect, email our Customer Service department for instructions. Do not return products to us without first contacting us to receive instructions. If an item is to be returned to us due to manufactures defect, you must first receive a Return Authorization Number. No packages will be accepted without a Return Authorization Number written clearly on the package.
Once a return is authorized you should:
- Return the item to the address given to you by our return department.
- Write the Return Authorization Number clearly on the box or package.
- Keep your shipping records for proof of shipment in the event of loss of returned merchandise. Returns should be insured. We can not be held liable for return merchandise that does not reach our return department.
We can refund shipping costs only if the return is a result of our error. You are responsible for all freight charges on shipments that are refused or returned with no fault on our part. We are not responsible for incidental or consequential damages or losses to defective products, errors in shipping your order, or other errors. The limit of our liability is the replacement cost of any item you purchase from us.
Barkley Paws is an internet based company and does not have a physical store front. The purpose of this site is to provide you with access to our wide selection of unique and upscale products for people and their pets. Any information on this web site is subject to change without notice.
